Neil Robertson is widely considered one of the all-time greats of the game, but the Australian still doesn’t believe he’s the best left-handed player of all time.
The Thunder from Down-Under won the World Championship in 2010 and has been World No. 1 several times in his illustrious career.
The 42-year-old is just one of four men to reach 900 centuries in the game, alongside Ronnie O’Sullivan, John Higgins, and Judd Trump, but he believes there’s a better left-hander in the game than him.

Neil Robertson believes Mark Williams is better than him
Robertson admits that three-time World Champion winner Mark Williams is a better player than he is.
Asked who the best left-hander of all time is by WST, Robertson declared: “You’ve got to give it to Mark because he’s won a few Worlds. You have to give it to Mark.”
Both men have dominated the sport at different times in their careers, with Robertson picking up 23 ranking titles and Williams collecting 26.
The Welshman is currently ranked No. 9 in the world, while the Australian has slipped down to No. 27.
Williams is undoubtedly one of the best players of all-time, but Williams himself believes the two greatest players ever are Ronnie O’Sullivan and John Higgins.
Robertson’s dip in form
Robertson’s 2023/24 season has been disappointing by the Australian’s high standards, with several major setbacks and no tournament wins.
His streak of winning at least one ranking title a year since 2006 was broken after a barren run in 2023, which included first-round defeats in the UK Open and the Wuhan Open.
That poor form meant the three-time UK Open champion dropped out of the top 16 for the first time since 2006 and failed to qualify for the World Championships for the first time since 2004.
Robertson is one of the best left-handers around, but he will have to improve if he wants to be considered on par with Williams again.
