Stephen Hendry has explained what Jack Lisowski needs to do in order to secure a maiden title on the World Snooker Tour.
Lisowski dumped Ding Junhui out of the World Snooker Championships this morning after edging the Chinese player 10-9.
The talented cueist produced a granite level of concentration in a deciding frame after Ding came from 9-7 down to force the decider.
It was Lisowski – forced to qualify this year – who prevailed, however, and he’s now set up a clash with 2015 world champion Stuart Bingham.
After the game, seven-time winner of the event Stephen Hendry had some advice for Lisowski as he progresses through the tournament.

What Stephen Hendry has said about Jack Lisowski
Well, it’s a complete and utter mystery that Lisowski has never won a single tournament during his time as as professional.
The left-hander is ridiculous when he’s at his very best and it’s not really a shock that he’s dumped Ding out during this Crucible classic.
After Lisowski has beaten the world number seven, Hendry had some advice for the 32-year-old.
The legend of the game told BBC Sport: “He just needs to believe how good he is. Jack is a phenomenal talent but that’s part of the problem. He just needs to back himself so much.”
Lisowski can emulate darts star Michael Smith
The PDC world champion from 2023 was so often the bridesmaid when it came to TV titles but he won one and then more followed.
There is absolutely no reason why Liswoski can’t do the same with the key getting that first one under his belt.
Smith has now won a number of big titles and he’s grown as a player in the modern era, with some believing his throw is poetry in motion.
There is little to doubt Lisowski when it comes to natural talent and it’s a mystery that he’s not won anything yet in his career.
Hendry is right. The talented leftie simply has to believe that he can win these big titles and once he conquers that mental side of things, the snooker world should be his oyster.
Lisowski ticks all of the boxes when it comes to being a brilliant player but he will be absolutely desperate to end that elusive wait to finally be crowned as the winner of a tournament.
