Stuart Bingham has delivered his verdict on England sensation Jude Bellingham after England won their opening Euro 2024 match.

The Three Lions beat Serbia 1-0 in Gelsenkirchen on Sunday night in a game that left more questions than answers.

Gareth Southgate is under pressure to deliver silverware in what looks likely to be his final tournament as the England head coach.

Snooker star Bingham was watching the game from his home on Sunday and he’s now been quizzed on the brilliance of Bellingham.

Stuart Bingham delivers verdict on England star Jude Bellingham

Bellingham has the world at his feet and it’s quite scary what the Real Madrid midfielder could achieve during his career.

The 20-year-old opened his account for Euro 2024 on Sunday and he will hope to score more goals between now and the end of the tournament.

Bingham admits he’d struggle to remember what he was doing when he was starting out in snooker aged 20 – but he did have some praise for Bellingham.

He said on his own podcast: “Jude Bellingham will be the star of the world in years to come. I’ve seen a few things with his family and it keeps him grounded and hopefully, he can turn out to be one of the best players in the world.”

Bingham will hope for his own glory during 2024/25

After defying the odds and reaching the semi-final of the World Snooker Championships in May, the experienced player will hope to kick on.

Bingham had to qualify for the showpiece event on the World Snooker Tour this year and reaching the top 16 again is a target of his.

The former World Champion has the game to trouble any opponent, as proved when he knocked out Ronnie O’Sullivan at The Crucible this year.

Bellingham will be targeting glory with England in the coming weeks and for Bingham, he will have his eyes on the big prizes this season too.

His campaign gets underway this week when the Championship League takes centre stage and reaching the final stages of that event would be a great way to kick things off.
