Ronnie’s dad shares the snooker star with his mother, Maria – although the pair are no longer together. They welcomed their son into the world in 1975, where he was raised in Wordsley with his younger sister, Danielle.
The family unit deteriorated due to the crime that followed his father. O’Sullivan Sr is the former owner of a string of sex shops in Soho, London – and a former convict.
Why was he in prison?
Ronnie Snr was jailed for murder in 1992 after stabbing the driver of notorious gangster Charlie Kray, Bruce Bryan, to death in a Chelsea nightclub.
His dad was sent away the same year his son turned professional at snooker and spent 18 years behind bars before his release in 2010.

“I’d never heard of him as sport doesn’t interest me at all, although Ronnie’s won me over to snooker.”
